Let's get started

Our tank cleaning process

Tank Cleaning Process
1Initial Consultation
We begin with a comprehensive consultation to understand your specific needs and requirements. We’ll discuss the type and size of tank you need cleaning and access to the location. We will ask how much fuel is in the tank and may ask for photos of the tank and access.
2Scheduled Cleaning
Our engineers will arrange a scheduled date with you to carry out the cleaning.
3Tank Survey
Our experienced engineers will first inspect the tank to understand what may have caused the need for a tank clean. If they identify any specific concerns, they will discuss this with you and will offer solutions which may include a proposal to replace the tank if serious concerns such as cracks are identified. 4Tank Cleaning
The engineers will request that any appliances drawing fuel from the tank are turned off for the duration of the tank clean. They will pump out any remaining clean fuel from the tank into a temporary storage container. Any sludge or water is pumped into a separate container for disposal. The engineers will then clean the internal surfaces of the tank. Once cleaning is complete, they will pump all the good fuel back into the tank and will ask you to switch on your appliances.
5Disposal
Our UK-wide network of OFTEC-registered engineers will dispose of any waste sludge or water at a licensed recycling centre.
