Our tank relocation process
- 1Initial Consultation
- We begin with a comprehensive consultation to understand your specific needs and requirements. We’ll discuss the type and size of tank being moved, its optimal location, and answer any questions you may have.
- 2Site Survey
- Our experienced engineers will then conduct a thorough site survey to assess the suitability of your chosen location, ensuring it complies with current regulations and safety standards. Not all tanks can be moved to a different location and meet the current oil storage regulations. Our experienced engineers will discuss options with you should it be deemed necessary to upgrade your tank.
- 3Relocation of the Tank
- Our UK-wide network of OFTEC-registered engineers will then handle the relocation process, ensuring it adheres to strict safety protocols and industry best practices. They will request that the appliances drawing fuel from the tank are switched off. They will pump out any good fuel from the tank into a temporary storage container. Any sludge or water will be pumped into a separate waste container. They will disconnect and move the tank to its new location. The engineers can construct a new base if required and install fuel lines to the new location. Once the tank is connected, they will pump all good fuel into the tank.
- 4Commissioning
- Once the installation is complete, our engineers will commission the tank, ensuring it functions properly and safely.
